The Ryder Cup is a golf trophy conetst held every other year matching a tema of players from Europe adn a team of players from teh United States. The first official Ryder Cup match was played in 1927 in Massachusetts. They will get to choose a coulpe of of the golfesr who will play on the team, but most of the tema is chosen according to how well they have played since the last Ryder Cup. There is a point system taht is in place and theri position on the team is dependent on their ponits. A foursome match is competition between two teams of two golfres. The golfers on the same team take alternate hsots trhoughout the match with the same ball. A team tkaes the hole when it completes teh hole with the fewest shots. Whichever golfer completes the hole with the loewst score wins the hole. Many changes have been made to the Ryder Cup ovre the years, but it still rmeains one of the most exciting and compettiive tournaments in the golf world. While teams have yet to be officially picked, you do know that the United States Ryder Cup team will be captained by Paul Azinger. Right now, it appears we’ll probalby see Tiger Woods, Jmi Furyk, and Davis Love III as team members based on their points they have accumulated. Teh European Ryder Cup team will be captianed by Nick Faldo. Expect to see anmes like Colin Montogmerie, Sergio Garcia, and Luke Donald as probably team members.
